Sensei Pritchett began his martial arts
career in San Francisco, Ca., in 1963, as a student of Ed
Parker's Kenpo Karate system. Upon his return from active duty in
the USMC, Pritchett returned to studying Kenpo, and eventually earned a
black belt. Next, he took up the study of Modified Wing Chun, a Chinese
Kung Fu art. After moving to the Rogue Valley in 1995, Pritchett met
Grandmaster Jerry Piddington, who is the founder/developer of American
Open Style Karate, which Pritchett now teaches at the Eagle Point Grange
Hall on Tues & Thurs nights.

Pritchett's teaching concentrates on the development of the body, mind

improving oneself. Pritchett emphasizes that he teaches self defense,
NOT fighting, and has strict requirements for the conduct of all his
